As I was asking around for good fashion places to visit, Dali street came into the conversation. During my research I couldn't find information on just this street but more around the surrounding district. I've gotten information on the Wanhua shopping district (萬華商圈) and the Monjia/Mengjia/Monga shopping district. (Spelling varied on the sites I visited.)

4Mano Caffe
Found another food place that I absolutely must go! 4Mano Caffe is this little cute cafe that has delicious looking waffles as well as modern decor, apposed to the more kawaii looks that have become popular. Again why I must go is not for the food but for its mascot. Similar to how Ah Mao Risotto has a golden retriever mascot, 4Mano has a husky.

Street Fashion Question!
Hi guys! I was wondering what kind of street fashion could be seen in Taipei? Most of the research I'm doing has just listed that it's either very Japanese or Western inspired.

Ah Mao Risotto (阿毛石鍋燉飯)
I LOVE THIS!!! For years my family, knowing my obsession with my dog, told me about this restaurant that opened around our house. While that sounds normal, Ah Mao, their mascot, is a golden retriever!
Wufenpu (五分埔) Shopping District
Wufenpu is somewhere I definitely have to go! When I asked around or did my research the first place that popped up was Ximengding. However, since I live there I will do a separate and more lengthy post on that later.
Places near Taipei 101 or department stores are the go-to places for the more well know name brands as well as high end fashion. However, if you're low on money but still want cute fashion then Wufenpu is the place to go! Its name means "Five Pieces of Land" and is full of history. I won't go much into it here but if you would like a short abbreviation of it click here!
Wufenpu is a wholesale shopping area consisting of many alleyways. Little storefronts litter all through out these alleyways. Since it's a wholesale district the more you buy the higher the discount you receive! In Taiwan haggling is widely accepted and many stores would not get offended if you try!
From what I heard you can get the a lot of cute clothes for a huge fraction of the cost from higher end shopping areas. Definitely the place for affordable fashion! And you can bet that you'll find me here during the beginning and all throughout my trip!
Wish me luck!

Hi guys!
Well in a couple months I'm heading of to Taiwan to do some fashion research, and also as a vacation! My trip will last about two and a half months from February to mid-April. On this trip I will try to visit large fashion points of Taiwan to research different styles, for people as well as pups.
This is the first time I'm doing anything like this so I'm super nervous but also very excited! Luckily I live in Ximending, so the "Harajuku of Taiwan" is already crossed of my list. Another point I'm hoping to visit is Wufenpu. Department stores like Sogo are definitely on my list as well as places like Taipei 101.
The last time I visited Taiwan was more than seven years ago and it was only as vacation. If anyone has any recommendations of places please let me know!
Leading up to this trip I will also be doing some pre-trip research, which would be majority of posts on this blog before the trip. This will hopefully add more places to visit on my trip.
Wish me luck!
